This watch @ amazon – When I had this watch in my hand for the first time, I was totally thrilled. And I am still thrilled today. This watch gives you a lot – for less than 500 €. The workmanship is on a very high level. This 100 year Bauhaus Edition is really beautiful. The workmanship, the fine logo on the crown in 3-D, the open glass back, the movement cal. 9132 and much more.
The power reserve indicator is of course great. I didn’t have such a watch before. It shows you exactly how long the watch will run before you have to wind it up again. The scale goes from 0-40 hours. A very nice optical gimmick. Point Tech was rightly awarded for its Bauhaus Edition (read more here / only in German).
The whole watch is very harmonious, even with the very well processed leather strap. Here a few words about the movement cal. 9132: It is known as a workhorse and runs eternally. You have to think about what you are holding in your hands for this price. Take a look at the whole 100 years Bauhaus Edition here. I am sure that you will also find your watch.
The prices already start at 199 €, who wants to have an automatic movement must spend a few more euros. All Bauhaus watches. Here are some of the most important details about this watch:

The anniversary in honour of 100 years of Bauhaus
Bauhaus architecture is regarded as the myth of modernism, as the avant-garde of free and applied art. The reduced and clear Bauhaus design has lost none of its fascination to this day. Founded in Weimar in 1919, the Bauhaus in Dessau experienced its heyday from 1925 to 1932 before being dissolved by its last director – Mies van der Rohe – in 1933.
The over 80-year-old Junkers JU52, which is still in use at German Lufthansa under the D-AQUI registration, already follows the strict specifications of the Bauhaus movement uncompromisingly in its design and layout. These include Form follows function, the use of authentic materials, a minimalist and straightforward style and the harmonious combination of technology and design.
But celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus also means facing up to the controversies surrounding the Bauhaus. It was the atmosphere of departure that lured the Bauhaus enthusiasts from Weimar to the industrial city of Dessau at that time. The three Bauhaus directors Walter Gropius, Hannes Meyer and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe lived and worked in Dessau. In the seven years they spent in Dessau, they shaped today’s image of the Bauhaus and made the city an internationally renowned location for the avant-garde of modernism.
In this sense, we want to understand the Bauhaus not only historically, but also as a resource for shaping the 21st century, while respecting each other’s polyphony.
IRON ANNIE presents numerous new models for the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus.
The company POINTtec from Ismaning near Munich is not only one of the largest watch manufacturers in Germany, but undoubtedly also one of the most innovative suppliers of high-quality watches at affordable prices. The organically grown family business celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2017 and launched an extravagant anniversary model under the name “IRON ANNIE”. A reminiscence of a Junkers JU52, affectionately named “IRON ANNIE” by an American, with the registration D-AQUI.
