Meet the KronowerK Otaniemi – a robust, casual, everyday sector watch in a maritime style made with Finnish quality.
This unique handmade timepiece can be customized to be worn comfortably in every occasion. It cuts a good figure in a suit, a leather jacket or even in a hoodie.
The KronowerK Otaniemi has been inspired by the long Finnish winters on the seaside of Espoo and its boating culture. It is the first design piece of Reima Koivukoski and establishes the brand picture of KronowerK – the brand he founded with his US partner Nikolaus Libby.
Features
The KronowerK Otaniemi is fully designed and produced in-house in our Finnish workshop. The watch is made out of highend watch steel (316L stainless steel) and inside the watch sits a 2892/A2 movement made in Switzerland. It is durable and water proof until 50m.
The watch has an open case back and sapphire crystals. The case has a brushed finish throughout and is 10mm thick. Its diameter ranges from 39,5 – 42 mm and measures lug to lug 50 mm. The case, the hands and the dial are hand-finished in our Finnish workshop.
The KronowerK Otaniemi is an everyday watch. It is a watch you will not feel on your wrist as it is light and doesn’t get stuck on sleeves. The watch is manufactured inhouse with a swiss movement and a Finnish design.
About KronowerK
KronowerK was founded in January 2020 by the two watch-enthusiasts (or rather watch-fanatics) Reima Koivukoski and Nikolaus Libby. They met each other while working as expats for a German watch retailer in Cologne. Reima, originally from Finland, worked in the workshop and Nik (USA) as a vintage and pre owned watch dealer.
Their insatiable appetite for watches and their longing for high quality in both, watches and service, (but mostly their friendship) lead them to the founding of KronowerK.
Since then, Reima has established KronowerK´s Finnish workshop doing not only high end watch repair, but also precision manufacturing for the space industry. If you are good enough for space, you surely are good enough for watches, right? 😉
In the meanwhile, Nik is dealing with vintage watches all over the globe and building KronowerK´s sales base in Dallas, Texas.
