Dificiano is proud to introduce their first model of the Marlin on Kickstarter.
Our goal is to create a diving watch which is stylish, robust, accurate and easy to read. It is a perfect multifunctional diving watch for professional divers as well as “Desk divers“.
For that reason, we used only the best components available.

- MEASUREMENT: Lug width 20mm, lug to lug 50mm, thickness 13.9mm including domed Sapphire and 12.4 to the bezel only
- MOVEMENT: Automatic NH35
- CRYSTAL: Double domed sapphire glass with inner anti-reflective coating
- DIAL: Five colors, sunray finish or ceramic coated with applied indices and lumed chapter ring
- LUME: Swiss Superluminova
- BEZEL: Unidirectional rotatable 120 position ceramic insert with lume filled markers
- WATERE RSITANCE: 300m
- STRAP: Solid stainless steel bracelet with ratcheting clasp for easy adjustment

Dificiano Marlin Diver Watch Movement
The Seiko NH35A is well known for being a reliable and accurate automatic movement.
It is a self-winding mechanical movement that is also hand windable and offers a hacking function and bi-directional winding system. An accuracy of -20 to +40 seconds a day, power reserve of around 38 hours, Diashock for shock protection, 24 jewels and 21,600 beats per hour.
Dificiano Marlin Diver Watch – Why Automatic?
When it came to the question quartz or mechanical we did not have to think twice. The answer was easy and in favor of mechanical.
A mechanical watch with all the gears and wheels is in our opinion superior to a simple quartz movement.
The sweeping second hand is another big plus compared to the ticking hand of a quartz movement and even if a quartz movement provides a better accuracy, we are kinda missing the soul, so for us an automatic movement was the way to go.
The self-winding capability makes you independent, no need for a new battery every few years.
Dificiano Marlin Diver Watch Dials and chapter rings:
We offer 5 combinations. 4 of them are designed with a lumed chapter ring and one more decent looking with a black chapter ring, they are
– Dark Gun Sunray Dial Dark Blue Lume Chapter Ring
– Dark Blue Sunray Dial BGW9 Lume Chapter Ring
– Enamel Black Dial Matt Black Chapter Ring
– Matt Black Dial Dark Orange Lume Chapter Ring
– Silver Sunray Dial Dark Blue Lime Chapter Ring
The black dials come with enamel finish to get a solid deep black color. Whereas blue, silver and grey stand out with their sun ray finish.
Dificiano Marlin Diver Watch Crystal:
We chose sapphire crystal due to it’s scratch resistance and clarity. It is double domed without distortion and equipped with anti-reflective coating on the inside side.
Dificiano Marlin Diver Watch Bezel:
The bezel turns in one direction only, counter clockwise, to avoid the bezel turned off its position accidentally which could understate the elapsed time and then could be very dangerous for divers.
It has a 120-click with a ceramic insert and the markers filled with lume. The insert is made of ceramic with a polished finish because ceramic is extremely resisted against scratches.
We use Superluminova C3 by RCTRITEC on bezel, dial markers and hands as it is the brightest lume available.
Why C3? Simply because it is the brightest lume available from Superluminova.
The lumed chapter rings are available in Superluminova dark orange, light blue and BGW9 depending on the dial option that you pick.
Dificiano Marlin Diver Watch Bracelet:
We always loved those beads of rice style bracelets often seen on vintage divers so when it came to the bracelet design, there was not much to think about.
The bracelet tapers from 20mm at the lugs to 18mm at the ratcheting clasp.
This ratcheting makes it easy to fit over a wet suit and, it is adjustable to fit your wrist size during the day. It will always be a perfect fit as it can be adjusted anytime and anywhere, even under water, without being taken off.
The clasp on the production models will get the Marlin logo as well.
Dificiano Marlin Diver Watch – The size:
We decided to go for a 40mm size because we feel this is the ideal size that can be worn by most people. Of course, there are fans of bigger sized watches but we think for an average customer 40mm is just perfect.
