For our first cooperation I chose the Mariner GMT with steel bracelet and the brown leather as the 2nd bracelet.
The Mariner family celebrates a revival in 2018. Based on the old Mariner which was last available in 2011, the new model reflects all values and quality features of the old version.
The watch convinces with its robust case and masculine appearance. The new Mariner has a larger diameter (44mm instead of 41mm) and convinces with a classic as well as sporty design.
Another important criterion for the manufacturer was to achieve an excellent price-performance ratio which Atlantic tries to implement in all its products. The starting price of the watch is an attractive CHF 345.00.
Older Mariner models from 2011
All models are equipped with a screw-down crown, a rotating bezel and 200m waterproof.

The history of the Atlantic
In 1888 Eduard Kummer founded the company “EKB – Eduard Kummer Bettlach”. The company focused on the production of pocket watch components. Swiss watchmaking was growing, and so was EKB. Forty years later, in 1930, EKB produced the first waterproof wristwatches and sold them under the name “Atlantic”.
A few years later “Atlantic” is already an important concept in the Swiss watch industry and the manufactory opens its first sales outlets in Poland and Eastern Europe. In 1952, two years after the opening of the first stores in the eastern countries, EKB changed its name to “Atlantic”. A name that has remained an indicator of high quality, exclusive and innovative wristwatches to this day. The watches are also known for their excellent value for money.
With the invention of the “speed switch” in 1960, Atlantic set a milestone in the history of watchmaking. An innovation that makes it possible to change the date 52 times faster than before. By selling this invention to other watch manufacturers, Atlantic clearly demonstrates its watchmaking skills.
Today, Atlantic concentrates on producing high-quality watches in the mid-price segment. The traditional “Worldmaster” line is constantly being expanded, adapting to the pulse of the times. In addition to the timeless “Worldmaster”, Atlantic offers a wide selection of sporty, classic and elegant watches.
Conclusion Atlantic Mariner GMT 80575.41.61
I’m very excited about the watch. The workmanship is really very good, and that for this price! The Lynette clicks beautifully and snaps into place neatly. The screw-down crown also makes this watch interesting for deep-sea researchers up to 200m. With the Pepsi Lynette you wear a very unusual watch on your wrist. It is fun to wear it.
