Seiko has collaborated with the travel luggage giant, Zero Halliburton, to design a three model Seiko Presage Sharp Edged Zero Halliburton Limited Edition 2022, which includes two travel-friendly GMT models. Rather fitting watches for travel luggage and watch brand’s collaboration!

American Industrialist Erle Halliburton designed Zero Halliburton, whose tough aluminium exterior, according to him, is capable of withstanding the tough environment of the Midwest oil fields. This luggage brand has the honour of carrying the moon rocks from the Apollo 11 mission in its travel cases.
All three models, SBP269J1, SPB277J1, and SPB271J have subtle design hints of Seiko’s Sharp Edges series and Zero Halliburton’s Pursuit Aluminium collection. Let’s dig a bit into this collection!

Seiko Presage Sharp Edged Zero Halliburton SBP269J1
The Seiko SBP269J1 is a rather bold watch with a sporty touch to it. It fits perfectly under Seiko’s vision of a sporty-chic watch, with a sharp, angular case, which seems inspired by the pronounced forms of Grand Seiko.
Amongst the two sporty versions of this collection, SBP269J1 and SPB271J1, the SBP269J1 has a classier look. It has a white textured dial, a super-hard coated stainless steel case, and a black-blue bezel.
The black-blue bezel is designed after Zero Halliburton’s Pursuit Aluminium Collection, which has blue handles. The textured dial draws inspiration from both the Seiko Sharp Edged Series and Zero Halliburton’s Pursuit Aluminium collection, by having the luggage giant’s double-ribbed design, and Japanese hemp leaf pattern from Seiko.
The Seiko’s in-house Calibre 6R64 powers the Seiko Presage SBP69J1. It is self-winding, with 29 jewels, a Diashock system, and a 45-hour power reserve system.
Seiko Presage Sharp Edged Zero Halliburton SBP277J1
The Seiko Presage Sharp Edged SBP77J1 is different from the other two Seiko Presage Sharp Edged Series Zero Halliburton Limited Edition 2022 models, as it is a classic time-and-date version.
Similar to SBP6269J1, it also has a white textured dial with a super-hard coated steel case. It has a pop of colour with blue accents on the bezel and the inner flange, channelling the Zero Halliburton’s Pursuit Aluminium Collection.
Its case dimensions are 39.3 mm by 11.1 mm. It has a see-through case back to showcase the beauty of the machinery inside and has a sapphire crystal. In terms of water resistance, you can use it up to the depth of 100 m.
The Seiko Presage Sharp Edged Zero Halliburton CBP277J1 is powered by 6R35, as it has a time-and-date feature. It is self-winding, with a power reserve of 70 hours, a Diashock system, and 24 jewels.
Seiko Presage Sharp Edged Zero Halliburton SBP271J1
The most sporty and travel-appropriate model from the Seiko Presage Sharp Edged Series Zero Halliburton Limited Edition 2022 is the SBP271J1. Unlike SBP269J1, it has a black hard-coated case with a matching stainless steel bracelet.
The bezel is a perfect combination of black and blue, and the dial pays homage to Zero Halliburton’s ‘double ribbed’ pattern, a design element of the luggage brand since 1946. Similar to others, it has Seiko’s famous Japanese leaf hemp pattern as well.
The case and bracelet have a 3-D effect to them because of the careful contrast between the delicate hairline finish and the carefully polished surfaces.
The watch has a water resistance of 10 bar, and the Calibre 6R64 powers it. This movement is self-winding with 29 jewels, a 49-hour power reserve, and a Diashock system.
This is our take on the Seiko Presage Sharp Edged Series Zero Halliburton Limited Edition 2022. It has almost all designs of watches. You can go for the SBP269J1 if you are looking for a subtle travel look. You can go to dinner parties with the SBP277J1. If none of these appeals to you, and you want a prominent sporty look, then go for the SBP271J1.
